Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park infographics: what's built/what's coming/what's missing, who's responsible, + project FAQ/timeline (pinned post)

Atlantic Yards was #10 on list of 2012 NYC spenders on lobbying (and #1 in number of lobbyists hired)

Yes, Forest City Ratner in 2012 still spent big bucks on lobbying, as it aims to get that modular housing built, other subsidies gained, and pesky locals managed.

From Crain's Insider blog yesterday, Best-paid lobbyists, spenders unveiled:
The New York City Clerk's lobbying bureau has released its annual report showing the city's highest-paid lobbying firms and highest-paying clients. The biggest spender: Major League Soccer, which is attempting to land a new franchise and get city approval to build a stadium in Queens.
Not surprisingly, meanwhile, this year's highest-paid firm was Kasirer Consulting, the firm founded by Suri Kasirer. Her firm raked in about $6 million—about a tenth of all of the city lobbying dollars spent in 2012. The firm also earned nearly twice as much as its nearest competitor.
The #10 spender was the Atlantic Yards Development Company:
Carey Group, LLC (The) $9,000
Geto & de Milly Inc. $69,000
Kasirer Consulting LLC $240,000
LoCicero & Tan, Inc. $48,000
Park Strategies, LLC $70,000
Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP $12,000

Total: $448,000
(Forest City Ratner's 2011 city and state lobbying was over $500,000.)

The Atlantic Yards Development Company was actually #1 in the number of lobbyists retained, six; three other clients, including Major League Soccer, hired five lobbying firms.
