Forget the Haier store; instead, a Sugar Factory is coming to the east end of the arena

As the famed Atlantic Yards philosopher Jim Stuckey once observed, "Projects change, markets change."

So if anyone wondered why the arena was to include the "Haier Experience Store"--an appliance showroom--at the eastern end, directly at the extension of Pacific Street--well, wait no longer.

There won't be a Haier store. (Did that sponsorship go pfft?)

Instead, coming soon, there will be a Sugar Factory, expanding from Vegase. It's rather more likely to inspire impulse purchases.
