Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park infographics: what's built/what's coming/what's missing, who's responsible, + project FAQ/timeline (pinned post)

Boerum Hill post office moving to Dean Street site across from planned Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park towers

Guess what, those new residents in the next Atlantic Yards/Pacific Park towers to be built (now the surface parking lot) will have a post office next door, on Dean Street, between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues.

Brownstoner noted yesterday, in Boerum Hill Post Office Will Move to Prospect Heights Warehouse
The Boerum Hill post office’s new home will be located at 594 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, a former warehouse that’s being converted to retail space. The new location... is about a 10-minute walk away from the old one at 542 Atlantic Avenue, according to Postal Service officials quoted in a story in The Brooklyn Paper. We found the above rendering for the new post office on the construction fence...
I don't think the entire building will be devoted to the post office rather than be shared in some way. Brownstoner noted that, according to alternation permits, the building will have 20,712 square feet of commercial space and 4,300 square feet for a community facility.

As noted last year, the real estate agent promoted the building as "ideal for use as a health club, medical office, restaurant or creative work space."
